MISSION MONTH-EVERY YEAR IN AUGUST
The congregation is generous in the support of many ministries to needy persons in our community, region, nation, and world. This special month of emphasis gave us an opportunity to make a commitment to continue this outreach in Christ’s name for the coming year. Our Faith Promise pledges for 2011-2012 to mission were less than the previous year and necessitated a reduction in some of our mission outreach. The 2011-2012 Faith Promise Mission Budget report you find below reveals what we are planning to support this year. We are prayerful that mid-year we may be able, through generous giving, to fulfill our original budgeted need to continue our important outreach.
During the month of August we discussed and prepared for our September Food Drive for Good Samaritan. A truck load of food was contributed to help fill the storehouse at Good Samaritan.
Good Samaritan: – Bob Leonard. – Our congregation supports the ministry of Good Samaritan financially, with food donations and with volunteers.
