In addition to these budgeted items, our church and its members are involved in a number of mission projects.  Notable among these are collecting food labels for Appalachia's Red Bird Mission (www.rbmission.org), preparing Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes (www.samaritanspurse.org) serving as CASA volunteers (Court-Appointed Special Advocates), delivering Meals-on-Wheels, working with Hospice of the Highland Rim, providing ongoing support to area nursing home residents, hosting and supporting all phases of Girl Scouting and Boy Scouting, knitting prayer shawls, collecting stuffed animals, clothing and toys for children at Christmas, ringing the bells for the Salvation Army, supporting the Sportsmen & Businessmen's Charity and helping establish drug-prevention and awareness programs in our community.

We also support and participate in our Murfreesboro District's twice-yearly mission trips to Matamoras, Mexico.  To learn more about that, and in particular the Bless the Children program, please click here.

The 3RD AND 4TH GRADE SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS is showing their mission-mindedness with several mission projects.  These photos are from their recent collection of food for the GOOD SAMARITAN MINISTRY in Manchester.  A long-standing ministry tradition in our community, Good Sam provides food and help with utility bills to the poor and marginalized of our community.  (Currently the 3rd and 4th grade class is doing the HEIFER PROJECT.  Click here to learn more about the HEIFER PROJECT).
